To ensure that you can enjoy your mirror for many years to come, please note the following instructions: The use of “harsh” cleaning agents is just as unsuitable for cleaning mirrors as abrasive household sponges. Incorrect care can cause irreversible damage to the edges, glass surfaces and coating, which destroys the mirror in the long run. DIN EN 1036-1 expresses itself in this regard: “The selection and use of the mirror cleaning agent is always subject to the discretion and risk of the user”.
Light dirt such as dust, water splashes or an isolated fingerprint can be removed with a soft, dry cloth. For all other soiling, damp cleaning is necessary.
First of all: Please avoid your mirror coming into contact with liquids in the area of the edges. This is because the coating can even be attacked by clear water if it can act on the mirror edge over a longer period of time. A mirror fogged up with steam should therefore be dried as quickly as possible by rubbing or targeted ventilation.
Ideally, you should apply water or a suitable detergent to a soft cloth, which you can use to loosen the dirt and carefully lift it off.
